Julia Chen

Like many of us, COVID-19 has had an impact on my life, especially since we are starting high school with new rules and restrictions. COVID-19 was the first major pandemic of my life. Because my parents did not allow me to go out, I have been cooking more and learning new recipes, having fun while still learning. During isolation, I have been quite bored as I couldn't be with my friends and go out as often. As for exercise, I was allowed to go out for jogging and I also had a mat in my room, so I stretched every day. Going through this experience has been very unusual, usually, I was always allowed to go out. At home, work was alright for me, I have my own desk, computer and phone. Ever since isolation, I have been on social media a lot more. COVID-19 has made us realise how valuable things are from the smallest things like toilet paper to things as big as the risk of our life being stolen away in an instant.
