Students Daring Greatly

20 June 2021 Life Writing Autiobiography Memoir Collaboration

We all know Brene Brown, the famous qualitative researcher and viral story-teller, who speaks passionately about how to be brave, vulnerable, and choose ‘courage over comfort’ to live a more satisfying life.

Qualitative research involves collecting and analyzing non-numerical data (e.g., text, images, or audio) to understand concepts, opinions, or experiences. It can be used to gather in-depth insights or generate new ideas.

The FamilyBookform dashboard scaffolds & documents student's inquiry/qualitative research projects. Projects develop 21st century skills & SEL, funded by communities.

Students speak into the page, interview others (any language, in-person & online) & collaborate, to create automatically formatted published books of value.

Assigning the FamilyBookform dashboard, Teachers enhance existing writing assignments with STEAM pedagogy & Universal Design Learning frameworks to personalize & differentiate 'how, what & why' students write.

Similar to online games where students don’t need a teacher’s instructions, help or motivation, the FamilyBookform dashboard contains all the scaffolding required for students to work autonomously and be motivated to engage & do their best work. And the automatically published book is proof of that learning.

Student’s content enriches lessons. Students can share audio files, text & photos of their interviews in class for authentic discussions, peer-bonding, collaborative editing & celebrating diversity and inclusion.

Books can be graded, included in portfolios, gifted & sold to families & community.

We're a Google for Education Partner, integrated into the Classroom platform, available on Chromebooks & any device connected to WiFi. Comply with all student privacy & data storage requirements. Opportunities to present case studies & new research globally & generate revenue. Case studies, lesson plans, explainer videos are on the website.
